How are the "param" check boxes in the Filters tab used?
How are the "param" check boxes in the Filters tab used?
The "param" check boxes allow the report creator to limit filtering to end users by hiding certain filters. By not checking certain filter's param boxes it will hide those filters in the Report Viewer screen from end users. The filters will be applied but can't be changed except in the Report Designer page. See below for example:
Filters page with ShipCountry & OrderDate param boxes checked:
Report Viewer page shows filters above with the two param boxes checked available for end user changes:
Result: The ShipCountry & OrderDate filters allow end users to change them as needed, however, the UnitPrice will always filter "Is Greater Than" (50).
