Two-Day .NET Online Conference Begins

dotnetThe dotnetConf, a free, two-day virtual event co-organized by the .NET community and Microsoft, begins Wednesday. The online conference helps developers create desktop, mobile, web, and cloud-based applications using the .NET Framework.

The third annual event picks up from last June’s two-day event. Day 1 features 10 talks with the latest on updates to .NET with the developers and program managers who are building the framework. Thursday features a whole day dedicated to .NET-related projects created by the community, partners and other Microsoft groups.

How to Participate

This year’s conference kicks off with Scott Hanselman, the programmer, teacher and speaker who works with Microsoft’s Web Platform Team, and Javier Lozano, principal at lozanotek, co-founder of geekShare, and an ASP.NET MVP. Check out all the dotnetConf events here. Hanselman and Lozano begin the first day’s proceedings at 8:50 a.m. Pacific time.

To be part of dotnetConf, you simply browse http://www.dotnetconf.net or http://channel9.msdn.com during the two days. You can ask questions via the Channel9 Live Q&A during the talks. The speakers will be able to see your questions.

Also, expect a lot of conversation on Twitter around the #dotnetconf hashtag.

Videos from dotnetConf 2014 are still available to watch. The Future of C# was one of the favorites of that conference.
