Izenda is once again offering its $1,000 Embedded BI and Analytics Scholarship

The scholarship will be awarded to one undergraduate or graduate student currently enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university who is interested in pursuing a career that uses analytics.

Submissions for this year’s scholarship should tell a story leveraging a data source. This could be an essay, dashboard, chart or visualization. Some suggested topics are:

     2016 US election season

     Financial market trends

Impact of Pandemics: the Zika virus or Ebola

Technology topics like trends in languages or platforms

     Sports topics

For example, your submission might contain a dashboard visualization that shows the impact of a current event on 2016 election polls or on financial markets. Or it could track the spread of a disease against public health interventions. We’ve included some links to sample data in the topics list above, but you are free to use other data sources.

Your submission does not need to be created using the Izenda embedded business intelligence platform. You can submit it as a document, spreadsheet, PowerPoint-type presentation or use another format. However the data you use should be real data.

The work you submit should be entirely your own, not coursework assigned in a class you have taken. Materials need to be submitted by April 30, 2017 to be eligible for the scholarship. Please note that your submission should be your work alone and will become the property of Izenda, Inc.

The scholarship is open to all undergraduate or graduate students currently enrolled in an accredited U.S. college or university who are interested in pursuing a career that leverages analytics to improve decision making and outcomes in the United States. Applicant must be a student at an accredited school, or be accepted to begin school at an accredited school within 6 months of application. All funds will be dispersed to scholarship recipient within 30 days of being announced as the winner. The scholarship winner is determined solely by our selection committee. All decisions of the selection committee are final. Current or former Izenda employees, including any business vendors of Izenda, are not eligible for this scholarship.

We will not sell, share, or distribute the personal information you submit with your scholarship application to any third parties. Any personal  information you submit will be used only for determining the scholarship recipient and deleted after the selection period.
