Izenda’s self-service business intelligence platform distinguishes itself by a sophisticated embedding capability, according to a Butler Analytics Strategic Review.
The analyst firm said our powerful embedding mechanisms allow software developers to integrate Business Intelligence into their applications. And Butler Analytics calls Izenda’s pricing modest.
“What distinguishes Izenda from most of the competition is its very close integration with the operational environment,” according to the Strategic Review. Butler Analytics calls this model in many respects the future of BI.
Review Gives Izenda High Ratings on Embedding, Value
Izenda’s competitive pricing makes it attractive to independent software developers and solutions providers. While that definitely should boost ROI as it’s affordable, the review still put embedding as the best point.
“But it is the embedding capability that distinguishes Izenda – it is sophisticated and mature, and allows a business to offer self-service data visualization to a broad population, in a manner that is both low cost, and frees users from dependency on IT resources,” according to the Butler Analytics Strategic Review.
Izenda earned a 95 percent rating on both embedding and value. Our BI platform reached 85 percent in four categories – ease of use, developer support, reporting and productivity. Mobile support, performance, security and governance weren’t far behind with an 80 percent rating.
ISVs Can Put Own Branding on Izenda’s Self-Service BI
Izenda enables end users to create, customize and consume dashboards, reports and visualizations through a drag-and-drop interface to give them actionable business insight. An independent software developer can add self-service BI to an application by embedding Izenda. This makes the platform completely white labeled, giving an ISV the ability to use colors, styles and labels that match the application in which it has been embedded.
The browser-based BI platform connects to popular databases to provide real-time data, although caching can be enabled. Izenda’s automated query building engine supports complex queries that don’t require writing SQL. It recognizes existing constraints, tables and views for database systems. Microsoft SQL stored procedures can be used as data sources.
Other features include:
- Automatic drill down
- In-memory pivots
- Conditional formatting and expressions
- Multi-tenant capabilities
